Key Technology

RemoteMD 2.0 for Optical Sorters

Key Technology introduced RemoteMD 2.0 remote support service for its optical sorting systems. RemoteMD enables Key service technicians to securely connect to a customer’s sorter for real-time remote monitoring as well as technical support. Now with 24/7 call center support and delivery of quarterly status reports, RemoteMD 2.0 helps optimize equipment performance to protect food safety and ensure product quality while increasing machine uptime and reducing service costs. When needed, RemoteMD facilitates the delivery and installation of software updates and patches.

Vogelsang

Cavity Pump for Longer Lifecycles Enters North America

The Vogelsang HiCone progressive cavity pump was designed to maintain consistent conveying capacity and pressure resistance while being energy efficient. The HiCone pump is suitable for applications in environmental wastewater applications as well as most industrial settings. Long service life due to re-adjustment is made possible by the conical rotor-stator geometry. If a gap occurs between the rotor and stator as a result of wear, it can be compensated for during ongoing operation. The rotor is adjusted axially.

SPX FLOW

New Infusion Vessel Introduced

SPX FLOW’s APV brand has released the Seamless Infusion Vessel to help UHT (Ultra High Temperature) infusion systems have longer running times, less product waste and more yield. Dairy, plant-based and beverage producers often struggle with product fouling or buildup during UHT processing. The new product can help increase efficiency and system performance with a seamless connection that links the vessel bottom and pump housing in UHT infusion systems without a sealing gasket, and it has better water-cooling on the pump casing and impeller.

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments

New Series of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometers

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments' new ICPMS-2040/2050 series of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometers feature a mini-torch system, a redesigned collision/reaction cell and a quadrupole mass filter with enhanced resolution. The ICPMS-2040/2050 series is designed for analyzing the concentration of inorganic elements in solution samples in industries including environmental, pharmaceutical, clinical, food, chemical and material. The torch design of the ICPMS-2040/2050 series improves sample ionization efficiency by keeping argon gas consumption low and decreasing sample flow rate into the plasma.

Leuze

Sensors for Hygiene-Sensitive Needs

Leuze offers sensors designed to meet requirements for hygiene-sensitive product and packaging processes. With its new miniature sensors in stainless steel housings, Leuze says it fulfills requirements of the food industry with chemical and thermal resistance, leak tightness and a hygienic product design. Protection classes such as IP67, IP68 and IP69K as well as ECOLAB, CleanProof+ and Johnson Diversey certifications confirm that the devices operate properly even in harsh environments, according to the company. Depending on the model, Leuze solutions can detect glass, PET, film or small parts.
