Marion improved its standard plated paddle agitator to speed up lead times on its 30-in. diameter and smaller-sized horizontal mixers. The new paddle design makes it easier for customers to accelerate the development cycle. The new plated paddle agitators are manufactured with the paddle and arm sections cut from a single piece of stainless steel, reducing welding requirements and offering operators low-maintenance cleanability.

The LBG-50 Lightweight Bag Gripper
The arm and the framework of LBG-50 are made of aluminum for sturdiness while still being lightweight. Other features are flexible width and finger positioning and generous mounting options. Flexibility also goes for the valve package, which can be configured with either Discrete I/O, Ethernet/IP or Profinet. With a double-width infeed hopper, the cutter accommodates conveyor-feeding of irregular shapes and sizes of hard, soft and/or fibrous materials by gravity. As material enters the infeed chute, it is subjected to successive mechanical shearing against bed knives until small enough to pass through bedscreen apertures, resulting in uniform size reduction from coarse down to 20 mesh with minimal fines or heat generation, at high rates with reduced energy use.
