Vegetable Protein Texturization Technology

Clextral's patented technology for vegetable protein texturization is designed to create softer, more flexible textures and produces large whole-cut pieces to obtain products that are equivalent to meat or fish. The new technology combines the principle of a shear-cell fibration process and the continuous extrusion process. The protein material is cooked in the extruder, which continuously feeds the dynamic die. The structure and orientation of the fibers are different—in particular, the final structure of the product is due to the shearing and cooling of the dynamic die. The Galaxy Texturing Technology enables a throughput of up to 400 kg per hour.

Multi-Conveyor

Dynamic Walkway Gripper

Multi-Conveyor recently built a series of conveyors to transport newly formed tins in a variety of sizes from two forming machines to one common palletizer. Tins received from a forming machine on one side will be side gripped and elevated through a new dynamic walkway gripper concept, then decline and end transfer onto a gapping conveyor. A manual hand crank adjustment with counter position indicator allows operators to adjust and track product widths from 2 in. to 12 in. for precision product changeover. Auxiliary underside guarding provides additional operator safety. Additional underside guide rails provide product stability and containment in the arch.

Key Technology

High-Capacity Vibratory Conveyors for Advanced Applications

Key Technology, a member of Duravant’s food sorting and handling solutions group, has introduced high-capacity vibratory conveyors for advanced food handling applications. Conveying up to 100,000 lbs. (45,359 kg) of product an hour and available in widths more than 10 ft. (3 meters), these extra-large, high-capacity conveyors can be engineered for grading, aligning, distributing and other specialized food handling functions. Key’s Iso-Flo, Impulse, Zephyr and Marathon vibratory conveyors are designed to offer reliability, superior sanitation and minimal maintenance requirements. The conveyors can be used for fruits, vegetables, potato strips, potato chips, nuts, meat, poultry, seafood, dairy products, confections, snacks, bakery products, cereals, grains and more.

Cablevey Conveyors

Hygienic X-ray Inspection System

Cablevey Conveyors, part of Automated Handling Solutions (AHS), has launched metal-detectable cable assemblies for tubular drag conveyor systems. The product is designed to meet the evolving needs of the food processing and material handling industries, providing enhanced safety and operational efficiency. The metal-detectable cable assemblies feature metal-detectable additives in the coating and discs, ensuring that standard metal detectors in processing plants can quickly identify potential contaminants. This solution prevents potential contamination of food products, which is crucial for maintaining the highest quality standards and consumer safety.
